Exchange Club founded in Orrville in 1924 – Darlene Morrison
Exchange Club members celebrated its 95 years as an active service organization in Orrville last September.
Exchange’s four major goals are: Americanism, Youth Recognition, Community Service and Prevention of Child Abuse.
We are one of the oldest service clubs in Orrville. We have been committed to our youth and have been giving Exchange Club scholarships to deserving Orrville graduating seniors for many years. Since the 1980s Exchange Club has given more than $300,000 in scholarships.
The National Exchange Club Mission Statement: Exchange, America’s Service Club, is a group of men and women working together to make our communities better places to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities and its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse.
The National Exchange is a network spanning the United States and Puerto Rico, and is comprised of more than 20,000 members and nearly 650 clubs, all striving together to fulfill Exchange’s Mission, inspiring communities to become better places to live.
The club’s four major goals can only be accomplished by the membership support of our three annual fundraisers.
The financial expectations of our members are as follows:

The club has donated to Wayne County Advocacy Center; City of Orrville Shop With A Cop; O’Huddle; OrrViews; Aultman Orrville Hospital, Orrville Walks; Orrville Youth Baseball and Softball; Orrville Historical Society; Wayne County Children’s Services; CAMO; YMCA; OHS Sports Hall of Fame Golf Sponsorship; Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club; Orrville Fire Fighters Association; Wooster Exchange Club – Strykes for Tykes sponsorship. Each year the club gives nearly $20,000 in community events and scholarships.
Last year Exchange Club donated a bronze Eagle that is placed in front of Orrville City Hall that is “Dedicated to honor those and their families who serve to protect our safety and freedoms.”
Exchange Club meets each Thursday for a luncheon meal from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Aultman Orrville Hospital Community Room.
Officers are: Scott Gold, president; Jim Clymer, vice president; Lisa Reusser, treasurer and Darlene Morrison, secretary. Board members are: Dr. Mike Guster, Bob Snyder, Dean Sullivan, Rich King, Ralph Keplar and Rod Webner.

In 2018, The Exchange Club displayed 102 "Field of Honor" flags.
In 2017, The Exchange Club displayed 86 "Field of Honor" flags.
Exchange Club, in its second year, displayed 85 "Field of Honor" flags with the profits of $850 given each to the Orrville Firefighters Association, Orrville Police Department for Shop with a Cop program and remainder $850 for Exchange Club to use in the community.
